


The library was set up at the inception of the Rubber Research Institute of Malaya in 1925.Since then, it has gained national and international recognition as one of the chief information resource centre on rubber. It is also one of the largest research libraries in the country, and has a good collection of scientific and technical literature on rubber and related information in support of the Board's activities.
A branch library was set up in 1986 at Sg. Buloh, which is about thirty-five km from Kuala Lumpur, to cater for the research needs of research officers at the RRIM Technology Centre and the RRIM Experimental Station. This library was then transferred to the RRIM Training Centre when it was opened in 1996.
